Lax-A-Day is an osmotic laxative. That means that it works with your body to retain water in your stool, softening it so that it can move more easily through your system. This process gently increases the frequency of your bowel movements.

The Lax-A-Day difference. Lax-A-Day is gentle on the digestive tract and works by increasing water retention in your stool.

2 to 4 days. Lax-A-Day generally takes 2 to 4 days to produce a bowel movement.

The #1 doctor recommended laxative in its class.

Lax-A-Day; (Polyethylene glycol 3350 or PEG 3350) is an over-the-counter laxative that provides gentle relief from occasional constipation.  Lax-A-Day makes the stool softer and easier to pass, and increases bowel movement frequency without causing contractions in the intestines. Also gentle on the taste buds, in that it has no flavour at all: simply dissolve it in a cup of coffee, a glass of juice or any other non-alcoholic beverage, then stir and drink.
