Psyllium husk, is used to provide natural dietary fiber, mainly soluble fiber, and to reduce the calorie value by replacing starch. Psyllium husk contain more than 80 percent total dietary fiber (65-70 percent soluble, 10-15 percent insoluble), 5 times more soluble fiber than wheat or oat bran.
