Recommended Use:

Detox-Pro™ helps promote a healthy liver function and is a factor in the maintenance of good health. *Note: Detox-Pro™ is a 15-day detoxification protocol. For prolonged usage please consult a health care practitioner. Nutritional Detox may be repeated periodically throughout the year, ideally in the Spring & Fall. To further enhance toxin elimination, it is recommended to take Detox-Pro™ with plenty of fibre and water and a good quality probiotic.

Directions

Take 2 capsules 3 times per day with meals including protein a few hours before or after taking other medications or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. May be repeated periodically throughout the year. For optimal effectiveness, take with plenty of fibre and probiotics. Avoid red meat, dairy, gluten, sugar and alcohol. No other vitamin supplements are required during this time.

Drug Interactions

Do not use if you are taking antibiotics/nitroglycerin. Consult a healthcare practitioner on the use of this product if you are taking any prescription medication including antiplatelet medication, blood thinners.

Cautions & Warnings

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family, or if you have a liver or gall bladder disorders, bowel obstruction and/or bile duct obstruction. As with any natural health product, you should consult a healthcare practitioner on the use of this product, especially if you are following a low protein diet or if you have a medical condition including gallstones, kidney stones, excess stomach acid, stomach ulcers, iron deficiency, cystinuria, diabetes, cancer or a history of non-melanoma skin cancer. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Because this product contains natural diuretics, consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking products containing diuretics or if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a kidney disorder or edema (swelling of the hands, face or feet). Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you experience symptoms of serious low blood sugar such as sweating, paleness, chills, headache, dizziness, and confusion, or develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and loss of appetite.

Side Effects

Hypersensitivity has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. People sensitive to niacin may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported (in Canada and internationally).
